Pilates Teacher
Over 12 years experience
Restoring Strength and Flexibility
My Pilates journey began in New York City where I was working as a professional post-modern dancer. During a 600 hour Pilates Apparatus and Mat Certification from 2011-2012, I began parallel careers with Pilates and Dance. My formative years as a Pilates teacher began on the Upper East Side of NYC, and I soon learned that I had a special ability to work with people of varying health conditions. In 2015, I began studying CranioSacral Therapy and Somato Emotional Release, which added a more holistic and restorative approach for my referred Pilates clients who were also oncology patients. In 2017 I moved to San Diego to attend graduate school for dance, research Craniosacral Integration, and teach Pilates at UC San Diego. Completing my MFA in Dance in 2020, my parallel careers continued on through the pandemic. My knowledge of the moving body continues to evolve. I have been selected for a Sanford Compassionate Communication Academy Fellowship at UC San Diego Health in Fall 2024, where I will work with medical professionals to develop compassionate curriculum for medical students. It brings me deep fulfillment to inspire people to be more embodied and in touch with their capacity for strength building, evolution, and healing.
